I am never a good cook, not to consider to bake anything from the oven, yet for the love of my f’kids, I am starting to learn from other cooking and baking f’mamas and hence, today I have prepared f’kids – Peanut Butter Oat Cookies as their snack. Come in handy for me when I need to call them back indoor from the garden…hhhm!!!:>
So, Peanut Butter and Oat? Bet is NO surprise to most F’Mamas or Pas. 2 power foods for F’kids from many other human food available in the market.
So how do you feed them? Straight from the jar? Which is ‘yaiks, I did that all the time every 2 or 3 times a week and it is NOT GOOD. Too much Peanut Butter will fattened our F’kids. Although, Peanut Butter has healthy fats, vitamin E and H which help F’kids’ coat healthy and shinny but do not over feed them. It’s desirable to use it as an ingredient for cooking or baking instead. Yup, from the look at their empty bowls after serving I guess they are not complaining :>
Oats has long been one of the ingredients in many kibbles making. It is one of the good soluble fiber for healthy F’kids and a dietary fiber for Senior F’kids. Oats are so good that it is made into shampoos that are mild, calming, anti-itch/inflammatory, and healing for our F’kids skin.
So much so of the above introductory of the greatest 2 power foods and now my cookies? What’s in it?
1/2 a cup of oats , 1 table spoon of peanut butter, 1/2 tsp of honey, 1 whole egg, 1 tsp water. Ingredients are good for approx 11 to 12 tiny Amos Famous cookies size.
Preheat overn 350F or 180 C.
Mix oats with peanut butter then honey. Give a few hard stir then add water and egg. Stir the paste well . You may layer the baking tray with EVO or for me I used butter. Once oven reaches the set temperature. Place batch in for a good 20mins. After which, cool the cookies and place them in air sealer bag. If cookies are for later use, store in fridge.
Honey is another power food and it contains antioxidant and bacteria fighting agents, therefore it is a natural food source that helps to wound and preventing free radicals damaging cells, in addition honey is good for dealing with allergies. Advice feed honey only to adult F’kids and not puppies as their tiny body is not ready for this power food yet:<
A reminder, always feed F’kids small amount of everything in balance and always too much of everything is harmful to health:> Happy cooking and happy baking y’all.
